Welcome!

Since President Obama was elected in 2008, he has diligently worked to push his big government agenda, exploiting various social enclaves to advance his agenda - one such group would be the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community.

Unfortunately this group has been pushed to the wayside in the political wrestling of Washington, with Democrats claiming to stand for equal rights but remaining ambiguous, and Republicans claiming to stand for equal rights but embracing far right ideology of the Christian base.

The Gay Tea Party of America was formulated to spread the word of lower taxes, limited government, and social equality - just as the founding fathers intended.

Hopefully the nation's various other tea parties can come together and unite under one banner to fight the injustices perpetuated under this administration and forge a new, better future.

Michele Bachmann's Anti-Gay Clinic! Sign The Petition To End Their Subsidies!

It has come to our attention that Michele Bachmann's clinic, Bachmann & Associates, receives government subsidies to counsel patients using anti-gay bible-based methods.  There are two problems with this - the fact that Bachmann's clinic is receiving government funds while maintaining an overt religious slant and that there is nothing wrong with being gay.  Homosexuals do not need to be cured.

While we commend Bachmann for her tea party credentials, we find her hypocrisy regarding government subsidies and her hatred for homosexuals should not be rewarded.

There is an online petition calling for the defunding of Bachmann & Associates.  We successfully defunded ACORN and we are working hard on Planned Parenthood, and now it is time to defund one of our own.

  1. I like how you blast Obama for sacrificing the GLBT community to progress his political agenda, even though he repealed DADT, added GLBT to the list of classes the federal government isn't allowed to discriminate against, and has appointed more GLBT members to federal positions than any government in the past.

Also FYI, the majority of the founding fathers were slave owners.

  2. Its insulting that people would say "hey, these people did you a favor by giving you a portion of the rights you deserve" how dare you! I am tired of begging, and being in the forefront of being blasted for wanting the rights that should be a given. I like Obama, but at many turns we were thrown under the bus for other things.DADT was repealed because it was ridiculous, not as a favor. It is OK if people choose to take a more proactive approach. Ideally these things would not be an issue.
